Leinsterschoolsrugby.com is an exciting new website and transition year programme aimed at helping your school promote Rugby as well as giving transition year students a range of skills and experiences relevant to the information age.

When your school joins Leinsterschoolsrugby.com you get your own microsite within overall leinsterschoolsrugby.com site. Your results, match reports, photos and videos can then be selected to appear on the main site. These are updated daily.

You can also avail of our transition year module which over a series of ten workshops will teach your TY pupils how to

  • Design and maintain a website.
  • Produce audio and video podcasts.
  • Optimise photographs, audio and video content for the web.
  • Work as a team to meet deadlines.
  • Market and promote a website.
  • Manage the whole process.

All of this is achieved whilst also providing a valuable resource to the school, its students, teachers and parents around the various rugby teams in the school.

How much does it all cost

There are two levels of involvement available.

The first level gives you your own microsite on Leinsterschoolsrugby.com and the opportunity to have your content included on the main site. We provide you with the site template and documentation on how to maintain it. We also provide you with a manual on how to produce audio and video podcasts and to optimise photographs for your microsite. Finally we provide the hosting required to run your site.

The cost of this is €200.00 per annum.

The second level involves the full transition year module. This is a ten workshop programme of a double period per workshop covering all of the skills needed to run the website. A full list of the workshop content can be downloaded here.

The cost of this programme is €1000.00
